About Thematic Investing
What Is Thematic Investing?
Thematic investing is the practice of getting equity exposure to a structural trend — a technology shift, an energy transition, a geopolitical reorientation — rather than selecting a single company. Instead of betting on one winner, you observe the whole landscape: which companies are at the center of the trend, which are adjacent to it, and whether the market is pricing the theme correctly.
Each hub on this page covers one investment theme with live market data, an equal-weight performance chart, and curated company coverage. Unlike a passive ETF, the screener lets you filter and rank within the theme on your own criteria. Unlike an editorial article, every number is pulled from the live database — so the stock list, price, and fundamentals are current, not frozen at publication.
Methodology
How Stocks Qualify for a Theme
A stock qualifies when its revenue, growth narrative, or capital allocation is materially tied to the theme — not just tangentially adjacent to it. Financial screeners alone do not determine inclusion: editorial judgment on business model and exposure matters. Theme membership is reviewed when new companies enter coverage or when a company's strategy changes substantially. The live screener on each theme page reflects current membership and lets you sort and filter to find the names that fit your process.
